Aren't you just completely sick of being robbed off with tales of woe about severe weather every time some company can't get organised? It's what you might call a "band wagon" excuse, like swine flu or Al Queda or volcanic ash, that gets wheeled out because, fundamentally, the just-in-time management model just can't deliver.
When was the last time you allowed yourself to rely on punctual public transport or a repair man having the right part on the van? A while ago, right? Who expects a retailer's pledge to be honoured these days?
The real question is, what can we do about it? Answers on a postcard...
